Counties mail you your property tax statement every year along with a form allowing you to dispute your assessment. All it requires is a CMA (from a realtor) or an appraisal at a lower value. Why wouldn't you spend a few minutes on a call with me to see if we can save you some money? Sometimes assessors might compare your home to one with a finished basement for example, which makes your valuation inflated. Or they might not take into consideration your unfinished yard. Or a lower number of beds/baths. We can point this out to them and get them to consider a lower valuation. IMPORTANT NOTE: Counties only allow this starting sometime in August until around September 15th each year. This is a free service for past clients of mine.
